Perhaps a confusing title I know but I have been watching Ugly Betty this week. David and I have been trying to figure out who the boss's mother was and this afternoon I had an 'uhah!' moment. She's from "Who's the Boss?" I love that show - it used to be on TV1 in the mornings but they stopped that late last year.
I'm sure I watched every episode when it was on orginally - Tony was a hottie.
Severely tired tonight - C was snoring heaps last night- should've moved to the couch. I put up some wool, fabric and dolls on ebay this afternoon.
Almost to the hump day of the term.
Who called my mobile twice yesterday?

Sad in the head
I'm sitting here - tired and sleepy (double synonyms - must find the technical word for that again) but I can't go to bed because I am downloading the last file of Waterboys again - because we found out just towards the end of actually watching it - that the last file was not whole. This usually wound't present a problemt - I would jsut let it go, leave my system on and sleep the night away. Tonight I can't because there is a planned power outage in the wee hours that might scumm up my computer - and also will shut down the servers at school. If I had none about the outages I would have turned the server off over night because our UPS that I purchased for the school servers haven't arrived yet :(
I'm a little zocked because it has been all work around here lately - I haven't been able to get to the post office for days so Lisa's present won't even get to her by the end of the week even if I post it tommorrow - which I doubt I will be able to... Instead Tomorrow she well get a phone call and a promise to send her pressy asap. This makes me feel crumby as I have had her present ready to go since the holidays.
Oh shit - my download just finished - Yes! Time to sleeppppppppp............. z Z z

Finding love in all the wrong places
Pretty much says it all really. I wonder if they would let a person sell their 'love' on ebay? They didn't let that guy sell his soul...
Watching "It Started With A Kiss" again, partly because I'm saving my download limit and partly because I'm a sad individual. Joe Cheng is a very good looking bloke though. C will always be my number 1 though!
This week I totally forgot that my senior classes won't be at school - YES!

Air obics
Who needs the gym when you have to hang out washing in winds so strong that clothes get ripped out of your hands. Just trying to keep the clothesline still and keeping the pegs from flying away is enough of a work out.

Pullip Overload
Photos are taken:

I really like this photo of Shinku

MNU! All that is cuteness are in these shoes

Another close up

Dodgy shot of the the full doll - I need to learn how to take photos other then macro and scenery!

HinaIchigo

Take a break from Rozen Maidens...

I won the 'lovers' from an Aussie Ebayer. If I ever see a Pullip on Ebay that is Australian - It is really hard to resist not purchasing them. Anyway - I put in a bid for Sage (whom I call Saji) and won and then I thought that he would be lonely without his girlfriend and put in a bid for Nina (whom I call Nini... Can I see a pattern here? Nono?). So I ended up with both.

So cute - he is blushing and he wears hair clips...

These are two outfits that I have finished. I might sell one of them.

It's the weekend - my camera is working again, and I have some photographs to take. But before that I wanted to show this from Molly Chicken. Look for the cup wall hanging!!!

We all now how I love to give personalities to inanimate objects - the simple fact that I can talk to a coke can or a pencil makes me either creative or deranged. But putting faces on things just suits me to a tea - that is why I like mypapercrane and some of the japanese cute things. At the moment I have two sets of wooden draws infront of me that a smiling so cutely.

Talk about cute Japanese things. This was from My Litle Mochi where she has some other links about it as well:

Some good - some bad
Today went pretty well - I like my classes so far - tomorrow won't be as great though :(
I just finished Smiling Pasta - altough the turtle thing started to get on my nerves I thought it was a good drama. The guy wasn't as cute as Ken Chu though - but only Joe Cheng could rival Ken. I'm so sad in the head I know.
My Rozen Maiden Pullips got here today - but my camera it's working so I have to take photos at another time. They look great and I am happy that I got them even though they were pretty expensive. I rue the American Dollar.

Lovely Complex
Oh how much do I love this manga (stoptazmo)??? Ga Suki Desu!
And I finally downloaded the movie (daddicts somewhere) and watched it - so cute!
So today I have done a fair bit of cleaning, read some manga, watched a movie, and am about to go to school I guess to get some work.

Work of sorts
Well - it looks like I might have some buyers for my shoes... Yeah! Today I refined the t-shirt pattern for the boy Pullips. Ruth will be sending me Nina and Sage tomorrow - so hopefully I will get them on Monday!!! Still haven't told C yet - but that's okay - it is my money.
The new high school teacher, Troy, got back to me about the units, but I have to resend one of the them - must do that after I finish writing this entry.
I have slowly gotten my craftroom back into shape - calling it my studio would be to pompous.
Okay - must go and send that unit.

Woah Girl...
Sometimes I get a thing in my head and I can't stop thinking about it. Lately it has been Pullips - but dolls have been it for a while. Which reminds me - My Pinky:St has melted a little and leans forward!!! It's Mai too so a rare Pinky at that!
Anyway - I have bought two Rozen Maiden dolls (which is very exciting) with my share of the wedding money. But I'm always checking out the Pullip section on Ebay, especially Aussie sellers. Last night Sage and Nina were up for auction... they are matching boyfriend and girlfriend in a school uniform.
But no one was bidding on Sage - so I snapped him up for $70 Aus. I was very happy with that - but then I started thinking about for Sage without his girlfriend and how much I would kick myself if I didn't put in a bit for Nina. So I bid $80.50 and walked away. Turns out that I won Nina as well... Man am I broke. But from Pullipstyle.com Sage costs $88 US and Nina costs... Hmm she's out of stock. So I feel very lucky.
I put a heap of shoes of Ebay yesterday and I have a few watchers.

Holiday snaps? Part 1
This may prove a bit of a big post - but that's okay - right?
This post is about the extremes of my holiday actually. So the first few are ones of us driving through a fire between Herberton (my home town and where we stayed with my partents) and the next town Atherton (Where the shops are).

Driving into the smoke

Flames on the side of the road
On the way home we stopped into Cardwell for a break. We get fish and chips from the first 'fish and chips' shop coming into Cardwell from the Tully (another town) direction - it's the blue and white one just incase you go to Cardwell. Anyway the lady who owns the shop sounds like she has constant PMS - she shouts at you and tells you crazy stories - but she makes the best fried seafood.

Then when we were almost home - after 11 or so hours of driving - we came across this storm... It was pretty awesome with lightening cracking over the car, rain coming in horizontally and visability at an all time low.

A patch of blue
Some random photos - one of a frog and the other an orchid of Mum's.

So - here are some photos of the Pullip girls:

On the dumb and marrying dumber
Can you believe how dumb I am? I forgot my username and password for this Blog. But it is obviously okay now...
Well I am now married - trying to get some photos today from the photographer. The hitch went off with a few hitches...
1. Just remember if you want something done right - do it yourself even if it means you have to do it while in the gown (at anystage of the day - to print out toast cards, to write signs that tell people where to put presents and wishing well money while they are waiting to put their presents down, to feed the starving cat).
2. The person you are marrying sticks his head in the sand and has a memory of a goldfish - or just ignores you when you are telling him important information.
3. Remember that the power can and will go out while your parents are cooking dinner for 60 odd people.
4. Three bottles of bubbly is fun on the night - not so fun the next morning.
So we are all a little over the wedding - but everyone that I managed to talk to loved both the ceremony and the reception and it was nice to see everyone.
Yesterday I sewed four pairs of jeans for my Pullip boys - with my share of the wishig well money I will be buying two Rozen Maiden Pullips - Yeah!

Here is the link to the pattern for Ouran High School Host Club's jacket for male Pullips.

Yesterday we reached the hottest town in QLD - it got to 48.5 degrees. Didn't I tell you that it was going to get hotter???

So hot
So hot I dripped and melted away. It got 42 degrees and everyone's brain frazzled - but more hot days to come from now on...
Yesterday I watched A Millionaire's First Love and I cried so much. You can get it at Silent Regrets. I have also finished downloading Devil Beside You and I like it so far. But I'm all for comedy romances with love triangles. That's why Marmalade Boy is so good as well - Ken Zhu is a bit of a spunk though - I liked him the most out of the F4 group from Meteor Garden. He can cook me up something to eat anytime - was a cook once and has written his own cook book - so he is like Tawain's answer to the Naked Chef. Yep so hot.

Memories
Love this link:
http://www.foldedspace.org/weblog/2006/04/sesame_street_video_clips.html
I went straight to counting to 12 - because that is how I count to twelve. Top of the list was the egyptian statue singing rubby ducky and here fishy fishy fishy.
I would buy a DVD of all the old skits.
Also cut out Erin's wedding outfit today and sewed a Pullip outfit: see my flickr account.

Graduation Dinner
Okay - here are some photos of the Senior Dinner that I organised on the 16th (Thursday night). It went really well except for the food fight - I could have killed them and their parents :(
Shrinking the photos by percentages make them blurry - so just click on them to see a bigger one on my flickr account.
Their graduation cake that Barb made:

Cutting the cake - although blurry I really like this photo - it has emotion.

The presents that I made the students. Autograph books with the first letter of their name on the front. Everyone liked them and they were so much better then a autograph bear -TACKY!!!

The room was decourated in pink, black and silver. Parent were a little shocked at the colour combination even more so when I told them that the students had chosen it, and that a boy had suggested it. People in Winton are so behind the times.

And talking about being behind the times - it's like they have never heard of nail polish this is not pink. Therefore my nails do get a bit of attention:

I'll start and finish with international TV shows
We have been watching Battlestar Galactica lately - it's not to bad - but I don't mind sci-fi. Australia is going to get the sci-fi channel next year which will be great.
Tonight I want to create some Pullip clothing - Going to try a skirt and maybe a jacket.
I didn't get the job. I'm a little disappointed and I don't know what my role at school will be next year. But Bec will be great as HOC so I'm not upset that she got it at all.
SilentRegrets is down again - please come back - I want Asian dramas!!!

Wedding Dress Blues
Okay here we go with some photos of the wedding dress top practise run:

The back is a complete mess and is making me angry... RAR!!!!
BELOW are the posts from my old webpage to catch up:

So excited because today my Pullip dolls came! Gonna take photos on the weekend.

I love my mum. Infact I sometimes find it surprising that we have similar tastes. Mum happens to love things vintage while I like things retro - and yes there is a distinct difference between those two categories - but not much of a difference. We like to collect things from both of those categories though - Mum has started an egg cup collection - so I have just found some egg cups to give her, on ebay of course. We both like kitchen objects.
EDIT - no sorry - I missed out on the auction :(
06/09/06
I am now pretty broke today. With a lot of spendature lately - buying furniture, getting teeth done, buying new clothes - I have finally broke down and bought myself a Pullip doll. I have wanted one for three years now, I would rather a Pullip then a Blythe which I find a little scary. The positive of a Pullip is that they supposibly fit Jenny clothing - which is good because I have a Jenny - but I also have Licca with fit Blythe so that reasoning is a little usless.
Anyway - I found an ebay store that sells them nude - I always seem to buy my dolls nude - much cheaper and more creative that way. The two dolls that I was watching however were bought - so last night I went looking and found a Rida (I think a very regal looking doll much like the first Pullip I wanted - Nero). But because it was so cheap I kept looking about and found a BOY! A boy Pullip has been a secret fasination of mine...
So anyway I figure I saved myself $30 US for both Rida and Timulus - $60 in total. It's a pitty though that I couldn't get MJ namu because he is really Rida's boyfriend. Oh well - they are having and affair.
Rida
Timulus Taeyang
This is the one Pullip I would buy dressed:

Yesterday we went to Longreach to get Chihiro's belly shaved. She is already hot and it's not Summer yet! The vet drugged her too much and so on the way home I actually thought she had died.
She was vomiting and still not well when I went to bed at 10:30, but she is okay today.

Dad has been getting in a building stuff and moving furniture. We bought two bookcases and a tv thing so we have gotten all of that set up now. But Dad has his sights set on my sewing room. It is still an unorganised mess - so tomorrow we are going to Longreach and buying a pantry and other furniture to help me store everying away.

So I just got back from Townsville. I had a week up there with C and D, and then my parents from wednesday. Mum and Dad will be staying with us in Winton, so they can check out the new house.
I got a lot of wedding stuff done. I went to a wedding dress shop and was put off by their bitchiness - but I only wanted to try on a veil and they looked pretty ugly anyway. No veil for the wedding.
But I got in a fair bit of shopping, ate out a lot and went to the dentist twice. So now I am quite broke :P
12/09/06
You know what? I have been under a lot of stress the last few days. Most of this was my own fault mind you. Who would have thought that applying for HOC would be so much work? Or that I would have to do the ICT survey at the same time?
Tomorrow I will be teacher in charge for the first time in years - hmm not a pretty thing at all.
I have still yet to order bread buns from the bakery - or put a notice in the newsletter about selling hot dogs for a catering assignment.
10/09/06
The things that I have been fascintated with lately are:
Asain dramas - I get them from daddicts or silent regrets. I was really bummed a few weeks ago because silent regrets closed down for a while - but it was just to update their look.
Nail art - after watching asian dramas and video clips of Koda Kumi I really wanted to look into this nail art thing. I think I had already mentioned on the old site that I was buying nail polish for a 'manicure store' at the fete - but this is one step up. I'll get a picture of my current nails but in the mean time just picture natuaral with tiny white butterflies and little white dots - oh so cute!
Avoiding wedding plans - I was meant to start Lisa's outfit last week end - but had work to do.
The back is a complete mess and is making me angry... RAR!!!!
