Week 26

Let's pretend week 27 didn't happen.  It did, but I was accidentally working out of week 28 until the Friday when I finally realised why I had been getting my dates mixed up!

So anyway - I rewrote the events onto the proper dates and didn't bother to go back and decorate.

This week was all about sweet things.  I organised an Icecream sundae treat for our school, and I also had a birthday party to go to.

When I open up my organiser I see this - I punched holes in the invitation and have just added the Instax of the birthday girl.

I used washi tape and stickers from a haul that I will post more about later.  Be on the look out for my free give away!

Have I shown you my Fifi Lapin addition?

Photos from my Fujifilm Instax

Yeah, sorry not an exciting title.  These photos are actually from Saturday night - we went out to dinner with a bunch of friends and I got out my instax!  So much fun!

I didn't keep the photos of the people I took, next time I have to remember to take two - one for them and one for me! But obviously I did take a few digital photos of them!

Fun! Bellabox!

Lovely arrival today, this month's bellabox is pretty awesome!

I'm loving the full sized products, especially the eye shadow.  Please can we have more eyeshadows?

But my favourite so far is the Grown Alchemist vanilla & orange peel hand cream.  I think I'll be getting myself more of it.

Bellabox costs me $15 a month but it really is fun, a nice surprise each month.

Gelicious - Alcopop Rock

I have been very lax about my nails, in fact my husband's toe nails have have more polish on them then my fingernails this year.

This polish has been in my nails for 8 days now.

It's holding up well with a bit of tip wear and one chip where I jammed my nail in a zip.

I'm hoping not to have to remove until next weekend - but I'm planning on using a bit of glitter over it during the week.

I see that Gelicious is selling a portable lamp,,, I'm thinking about getting one but I'll hold off because I know I don't NEED it!

Writing-o-fax

I love to write, and like heaps of other creative types there is a story going on in my head, sometimes several!

I've always wanted to write a novel, and like heaps of creative types just haven't got there.

I don't want to go around telling everyone that I'm writing a book - that's pretentious.

One of my friends feels the same way so we made a pack - a writer's pack.

We are using 'The 90-Day Novel' by Allan Watt to give us some structure.

Just having that structure and being able to check in with each other has meant the last 30 or so days have gone by so quickly.

But now for the real reason why I am posting...

Tadaa! My writing-o-fax!

Look even my manicure matches!

So now onto my set up.

On the left is some stickers and sticky notes that I use.

On the right is a postcard from my Mother-in-law from France, inspirational because she's seventy and made her dream come true.  There is also an Instax of me pretending to do the author's pose.

Left - Instax of my writing and stationary with a note; I am a writer.

Right - the four rules I am (trying) following.

Two page monthly spread - keeping track of my writing.  I'm now also keeping score of my daily word count.  This is from Filofaxy I think.

Daily writing activities.

This section is where I keep track of my plot.

Quotes! Keeping me inspired.

I have a section for research notes.

The last section, which I didn't photograph, are for my characters' profiles.  I'm still working on those.

So there you go, the last thing I haven't said was that it is a Calipso in deep pink.

Today - feeling warm

Today didn't start out great - but by the afternoon it was!

I did have company during the day...

It was so cold!

No wonder she snuggled in so close.

And then this came in the mail!

I also got a box full of stickers and washi tape too!

On a final note:

I'm grateful for my husband,
He puts up with my whimsy and my frivolity,
We've grown up together,
We've been through tough times together,
We'll grow old together,
I'm still in love with him.

Week 24

As we are winding done to the end of the term I'm hoping to be less busy.  In fact a few days this week had nothing written on them.

Washi from Swanston Street Supplies.

Stickers from a nearby newsagent - when I say nearby it's actually 170km away.  I live in the outback!

I've been trying to write using a more French style of cursive!

So I drew up a few alphabets based upon fonts on grid paper.

The last set is actually Queensland Cursive which our state's handwriting style.

I borrowed this idea from http://www.spreadthegiggles.com/

What makes me happy today?

Mum's birthday

My new tray and what's on it at the moment

My 'house overhaul' list - checking off two things

Meeting up with a friend to talk about 'project 90 day' - a secret project!

Long weekends

We had a nice weekend.  Got in and did a fair bit of craft actually.  C got some tie dyeing in,  I have almost finished the squares for a blanket for my brother.  I even made some paper beads.

We also went to the show and looked at the pavilion work - photos, art work, plants, craft, cooking.  We also checked out the bird competitions.  We ate pizza and watched dogs hearing cattle under the minimum time, and then bought fairy floss.

Week 23

How can I be so tired when it's only Tuesday?

Well so far we have had auditors visit, and had meetings.  Tomorrow I'm visiting the dentist, then the next day I am judging craft work, then it's Friday... Then the show!  But in the meantime I will be teacher-in-charge for a few days.  By the end of this week I am going to be exhausted!

Auditors were very impressed with us, I got a lot of personal, positive feedback as well.

Onto what my week actually looks like:

I actually love the show - the food vans, show bags, rides!  This year it sounds as though the show committee has out done itself.

My filofax collection has suddenly increased with the sale that was on Filofaxshop recently.  I think it's still going actually.

These are of course not all for me.  The orange has been taken up by my Husband, the Blossom Personal is for a
a birthday present for someone, and one of the deep pink Dominoes has been given as an early birthday/Christmas present.

I got this message from said lady last evening:

On another note, I really need to sort out those pink drawers!
