Week 18

Kikki K and MT washi tape - not a lot of thought went into this but it's still nice.  Tonymoly lipstick as well.

Blank!

Starting to fill it in - I thought I would try drawing in my planner - outfits and things like that. This one is me with a 'not impressed' face about a meeting that ran 20 mins over - in my outfit for the day.

Easter

Easter long weekend was meant to be  relaxing but both C and I ended up sick.  We did visit a birthday boy and I did finish my Easter egg tree.

We used to board with a Danish family and they had a lovely tree with hand painted eggs that I was in awe of. I decided that one day I would have an Easter egg tree too.

Mine isn't as traditional as their's but I like it none-the-less

It has a few eggs I bought in Sydney a few years ago, a rose plaque that I made when my parents visited, a prayer thing I got in Thailand plus my own hand painted and drawn on eggs.  Just for fun I also made bunting out of patty cake liners.

I can't wait until next year to add more.

Did you make any Easter crafts this Easter?

Me Made May?

I only realised this week that it was already getting to the end of April!  That means that next month will be May...  which means Me Made May? Click on the logo for more info.

me-made-may'14

How did it come to this? I don't think I've sewn anything since the Christmas holidays.

So between my kill-me-now bouts of flu like symptoms this week I have been dreaming up my ulitmate must have before May.

Black leggings - I currently have two pairs... both with holes in them.  I'm going to cut off the legs and use them as bike shorts under skirts.  Then I will make two new pairs of leggings.

Grainline Scouts - I have a few fabrics picked out for this pattern, I am pretty sure the pattern adjustments I made are good to go.

Tunic/t-shirt dress - I made one using black and white stripe and I love it.  I think I need one more at least.

I can't see myself wearing nice dresses or skirts to work for a while, as we have a student that needs a little extra work.

Anyway, I am tossing up what to do about Me Made May - it was my resolution to actually have a go this year, but I'm so worried that I don't have enough clothes for the big shebang of wearing something I have made every day.

So my sewn inventory that is 'okay to wear in public' at the moment stands at:

t-shirts x lots of
t-shirt dress x 1
leggings x 1
lounge pants x 1

dress x 1
caradigan x 1
shrug x 1
grainline top x 1
skirt x 2

I have a few more days to decide what to do...

Week 15, 16 & 17

So many weeks and I haven't shared my spreads.

Week 15

We we're is Melbourne for most of that week.  It was an expensive week but was so much fun.  I knew I was going to love it so I chose the washi tape to match.

Week 16

Feeling cheery - bright green and orange.  Notice the travel sticker tape - it marked out the days we were flying.

Week 17

This Friday is Anzac Day so I wanted this week to include red.  It also has ladybird Beatles on them which I love.

It's the first day back to school but I'm home sick today.  I've all but lost my voice :(

Planner - birthdays

I had been promising myself a little planner DIY for a while now but only just did something today.  I wanted to do something about the birthday section of my planner because I hadn't even used it.

I found these Folk Floral Printable Calendar and Planners from Snapfish.  I adjusted them so that two would fit on A4 when I printed it - and I used thin card instead of paper.

Finally I chopped them into A5 and punched the holes.

As a DIY project it was pretty easy and has got me hunkering for more, maybe I will actually get around to making my own dividers...

Melbourne shopping 1

So we are back from Melbourne.  I've been unpacking my shopping that I could fit into my luggage.  The rest I've sent to myself fromMelbourne so later in the week I should have a huge parcel arrive full of more goodies.

Ohh Asian drama DVDs with (hopefully) English subtitles.

I found an awesome stationary store - sticky notes and stickers. A bookmark for a friend and some cards.  Plus they have just opened an online store.

A big mix of stuff - so pretty.  Earrings, Kikki K, tin houses, a bit if make up.

Speaking of make-up... I got two things from my shadow want list: Too Faced and some Benefit.  See that Jill Stuart box?  That was a accident, I accidentally dropped it and broke it so I paid for it - eek!

I'm hoping to be able to fix the break but I'm still sad.

And then there is this pile, lovley Daiso.

Week 13

We'll it is finally school holidays. Although it hasn't been a bad term it has been busy.  I don't feel as though I got what I wanted done.

Tomorrow we are off to Melbourne!  I have been researching shops I would like to go to and booking things so that my planner looks pretty full.

This week was full aswell but not with fun exciting things - more like meetings with big wigs and parents.  I also organised a circus reward afternoon which most of the kids enjoyed.

I went with whales - partly to celebrate the news about the win for the whaling case against Japan.  I would love to visit Japan, like learning (very slowly) the language, and their culture but I don't like their whaling.  Am I allowed to pick and choose like that?  Too bad.

I also went with this theme because I really wanted to use some of my Kikki K stationary.

Whale and sea based stickers and post its - Kikki K
Spotted washi tape - muimuichow on etsy
Heart stickers - harvard5f on etsy

I use the heart stickers to highlight exercise.

We went to a dinner on Saturday which celebrated the song 'Waltzing Matilda' which was written by Banjo Patterson pn a station property near Winton.

C requested I wear the t-Rex necklace.  Look at my eye bags - so tired - haha!
