Aussie Curves - Fears Exposed

Unshaven legs.

I hate shaving my legs and try and do it only once a week plus special occasions.

If I do it any more my legs break out, I've tried using a new razor in each leg and waxing but blahhh.  Now I use an electric razor.  TMI?  It's going to get worse.

So I shave at the beginning of the week and of course by Friday I've got myself a spiky little forest.  Which means I wear long pants to cover my legs, even if it is near 40 degrees.

I'm paranoid that someone will say something about my hairy legs - flash backs to high school I guess.

So anyway, here I am wearing a skirt on Friday with my legs all hairy.

Top - Target
Skirt - me made
Shoes - Rubi
Belt - Autograph

  1. Your legs look silky and smooth as anything!!!
Maybe if I was half a foot away from your legs in person I could see hair but really who gets that close?!?
Great interpretation of this weeks challenge btw.
U look great and so do your legs!

  2. This makes me REALLY happy! So great. I literally shave about 2 or 3 times a year - special occasions! I believe in a full winter harvest :)

    1. Winter is my favourite time of year, not having to shave my legs isn't the main reason but it does rank high. Thanks for the comment.

  3. I would be very surprised if anyone made a comment about less than a weeks growth - don't put yourself through extra discomfort when its barely noticeable :)

    1. Last year I worked with some pretty catty women - this year not so much so I feel a little freer. Thank you for commenting.

  4. I had the exact same issue. For decades I was wearing jeans to cover my red, splotchy and cracked legs. You know? Lasering has helped tone my skin, reduce the redness and no irritation like waxing. I would never ever go back.

    1. Lasering sounds like a good option, but not one that I can do right now. Thank you for your comments.

  5. Yeah, I completely relate to this fear, and actually have a bunch of loose, lightweight pants for exactly that. But, I mean, I don't think anyone would be rude enough to say anything, so many of these fears we have are mainly in our head. Like, we see a small forest, but, unless someone came up to us and eye-balled our leg, I don't reckon they'd notice. Nice shoes too!!

  6. One thing I've noticed as I've gotten older is that no one really notices whether my legs are hairy except me. I have pale skin and dark body hair, so I think it's pretty noticeable, but for the most part people are paying attention to my winning smile ;)

Good on you for getting your legs out, I hope you'll do it more over summer and not sweat it out in pants! xo

    1. Thank you for your comment! You're right, usually I give people something other to look at then the hair on my legs.

  7. Let you Forrest grow free! I love it, cudos to you. And if anyone did dare say anything, they need to put their manners back in! X

    1. Thank you for the comment. I wish I had told a few people in my life to put their manners back - would have made things so much better.
